Which grant programmes are available?

Family Fund provides a wide range of grants to families living in Northern Ireland raising a disabled or seriously ill child, or young adult, on a low income. See here more about our grants.

Providing full-time care for a loved one who is disabled or has a life-limiting illness can be physically and emotionally demanding. This new, time-limited programme provides carers with vital support.

Family Fund provides a wide range of grants to families living in Scotland raising a disabled, or seriously ill, child or young adult on a low income.

Take a Break is Scotland’s short break grant scheme for parent carers of disabled children who have complex additional support needs. This programme is currently closed.

In partnership with The Marian Elizabeth Trust, we are providing further grant support for families raising children and young adults with multiple complex significant support needs living in specific locations across Birmingham, Liverpool and The Wirral, Chester, Leicester, Peterborough and surrounding areas.

The Support for Disabled Children (SFDC) grant programme in England, which is funded by the Department for Education and administered by Family Fund, is closed to new applications for the rest of the financial year. Information about future arrangements will be provided in due course.
