Get involved with Family Fund 

From running stalls to chatting with families, volunteers supported us at 13 events last year and contributed 280 hours of their time. We’re increasing our volunteering opportunities this year, so there are even more ways to get involved. 

Why volunteer? 

If you want to make a difference, giving some of your time and talent to Family Fund is a great way to make a change. It can also help you: 

• build skills and confidence 

• gain experience if you’re looking for work 

• use your existing skills in a flexible way 

• connect with people who share similar interests

Why volunteer with Family Fund? 

Family Fund provides grants and services to families raising disabled and seriously ill children and young people. Volunteers help us share information, support our activities, and strengthen our work within communities. 

As a volunteer, you’ll receive clear guidance, ongoing support and flexible opportunities to get involved in ways that suit your skills and availability. Many members of our staff team volunteer too,  which reflects how much fun it is to get involved.

What could you do as a volunteer? 

There are different ways you can get involved – from admin roles to attending events, there’s something for everyone. Last year, some of our volunteers helped us at the Kidz to Adultz North event in Liverpool.

They helped to run the Family Fund stall, engaging with people who wanted more information and representing our charity. 

“I had a fabulous time. It was great meeting and speaking to all the families and professionals who came to see us and there was such a lovely atmosphere throughout the entire day. The venue was buzzing, and seeing the joy on so many children’s faces was so humbling, along with the “thank you’s” and messages of support that were shared with us directly.
